BEVERLY, Mass. – The top three Endicott singles players did not drop a single game, while the Gulls surrendered just three games in doubles play in a dominating 8-1 win over Gordon College on Wednesday afternoon in Beverly, Mass. The Blue and Green are now 8-3 (5-2 TCCC) while the Fighting Scots fall to 4-6 (4-4 TCCC).
The Gulls were dominant in doubles action as \#Nicole Breting\# (Johnston, R.I.) and \#Lori Wardner\# (Wrentham, Mass.) defeated Kate Kirby (Orono, Maine) and Andrea Metayer (Bedford, N.H.), 8-0. \#Kate Cioffi\# (Essex, Vt.) and \#Alyson Boehm\# (Lowell, Mass.) found similar success against Kallie Garrett (Bend, Ore.) and Hannah Osgood (Rochester, N.H.), as the duo cruised to an 8-1 win. \#Rachel Layton\# (Falmouth, Maine) and \#Emily Annis\# (Hampton, N.H.) closed out doubles play with an 8-2 win over Jessica Greenwood (Bethel, Conn.) and Sarah Pitts (Blandon, Pa.).
The winning continued in singles action as Cioffi, Breting and Wardner all posted 6-0, 6-0 wins in No. 1, 2 and 3 singles, respectively. \#Kerri Dunn\# (Middleton, Mass.) downed Greenwood, 6-1, 6-4, while Layton won at No. 6 singles with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Sarah Pitts.
Endicott looks to extend is four game winning streak on Saturday when the Gulls travel to Regis College for a TCCC matchup with the Pride at 3:00 p.m.
