Only three singles matches were finished before the match was called due to rain. All three of those matches were won by the Gulls. Cioffi and sophomore \#Rachel Fenstermaker\# (Somerset, Mass.) each won in straight sets (6-3, 6-2).
Sophomore \#Ashley Sullivan\# (Concord, N.H.) cruised to her fifth win of the season with a 6-3, 6-0 win at number six singles.
The Gulls will travel to Salve Regina on Saturday for their final conference match of the regular season. Entering today, the two teams stood tied for third place in the league standings.
New London, N.H. - The Endicott women’s tennis team reached the required five points in time to hand TCCC-foe Colby-Sawyer its first home loss of the season before the rain forced the match to end early on Tuesday afternoon. The Gulls improve to 8-4 overall and 8-2 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference. The Chargers fall to 8-3 overall and 7-3 in league play.
Endicott benefited early from taking two of the three doubles matches. Juniors \#Emily Annis\# (Hampton, N.H.) and \#Kate Cioffi\# (Essex, Vt.) made quick work at number one doubles with an 8-3 win.
Classmates \#Kerri Dunn\# (Middleton, Mass.) and \#Laura MacLeod\# (Mashpee, Mass.) followed suite with a win at the number three spot.
