Endicott Tennis volunteers at Centerville Elementary Arts and Crafts fair
November 18, 2011
Beverly, Mass. – The Endicott men’s and women’s tennis teams visited the Centerville Elementary School in Beverly for the second year in-a-row to volunteer at an Arts and Crafts fair, helping the children with various activities. The craft fair was open to the public and gave young children to be both artistic and athletic.
The Endicott volunteers were split up into two different responsibilities aimed at keeping the children entertained and safe at this busy event. One group worked in the arts and crafts room, assisting children in the crafts they wished to take part in. The other group was in the gymnasium playing games and watching the children while parents shopped at the various local merchants who were in attendance.
The presence of the Endicott student-athletes in such a busy environment was a comfort to parents, knowing that their children were being looked out for and entertained while at the fair. The school hosted several local merchants and ran various raffles as a fundraiser throughout the event.
