BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott women's tennis student-athletes Gretta Hartman (Glastonbury, Conn.) and Olivia Berler (Marstons Mills, Mass.) have both earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) weekly awards, as announced by the league's office earlier today. Hartman earned her first-ever CCC Player of The Week award, while Berler won her third CCC Rookie of The Week award.
Hartman secured the match-winning point in Endicott's 4-3 win over division one opponent Holy Cross with a 6-0, 3-6, 1-0 (10-7) win at No. 2 singles. Against Salve Regina, she contributed two points notching an 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles with partner Cameron Foley (Lynnfield, Mass.) and a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles. On Saturday, she earned one point in the Gulls' win over Curry picking up an 8-3 win with Foley at No. 1 doubles.
Meanwhile, Berler contributed two wins in the victory over Holy Cross with an 8-1 victory at No. 3 doubles with partner Ashley Keaveney (Exeter, N.H.), and a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 4 singles. She secured two points in the win against Salve Regina with an 8-4 triumph at No. 3 doubles (with Keaveney), and a 7-6, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles. In the Curry victory, she notched a 6-4, 7-5 win at No. 1 singles.
Endicott (5-2, 2-1 CCC) will travel to Roger Williams on Tuesday, September 24 for a 4 PM match, and host Wentworth on Saturday, September 28 as part of Homecoming and Family Weekend at 1 PM.
