Women’s Tennis Takes Down Colby-Sawyer, 5-2
NEW LONDON, N.H. — The Endicott women’s tennis team took down Colby-Sawyer, 5-2, on Monday evening at the Kelsey Tennis Courts.
NEW LONDON, N.H. — The Endicott women's tennis team took down Colby-Sawyer, 5-2, on Monday evening at the Kelsey Tennis Courts.
Emily Leclerc (Manchester, N.H.), Caroline Sutliffe (Duxbury, Mass.), and Abbey Fleming (Wolfeboro, N.H.) all were double-winners this afternoon.
In doubles flights, Amber Woods (Scarborough, Maine) / Sutliffe turned in an impressive 6-1 triumph at No. 2, while Fleming / Leclerc clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 victory at No. 1.
From there, Leclerc made quick work with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 2, and Fleming generated a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 5.
The depth of the Endicott lineup provided the difference as No. 6 Milana Montini (Southbury, Conn.) manufactured a 6-4, 6-1 victory, while No. 4 Sutliffe produced a clinching point via 6-2, 3-6, 10-3 victory.
