NCAA REGIONALS: 4x200 Meter Relay Smashes School Record On Day One
WATERVILLE, Maine — Endicott’s 4x200 meter relay team placed 10th overall out of 16 teams on day one of the NCAA Division III New England Indoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Colby College.
WATERVILLE, Maine — Endicott's 4x200 meter relay team placed 10th overall out of 16 teams on day one of the NCAA Division III New England Indoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Colby College.
Nicole D'Angelo (Readfield, Maine), Jordan Williams (Boxford, Mass.), Ava Esmay (Underhill, Vt.), and Riley Rischitelli (North Brookfield, Mass.) shattered the school record by nearly four seconds (3.27) with a time of 1:52.63.
The previous school record of 1:56.30 was set at the 2020 NCAA Division III New England Indoor Track and Field Championships by Williams, Gates MacPherson (Thorold, Ontario), Alexa Flewelling (Peabody, Mass.), and Hevyn Pray (Rehoboth, Mass.).
Tonight's school record performance also marks Endicott's first top-10 finish in program history at indoor regionals.
WHAT'S NEXT
D'Angelo will compete in the shot put tomorrow (seeded fifth) at 1 PM, while Williams and Rischitelli will join Kira Charrier (Dartmouth, Mass.) and Brianna am Ende (East Lyme, Conn.) in the 4x400 meter relay at approximately 2:15 PM.
