McAndrews, Novello Highlight Gulls At Silfen Elite Meet

NEW LONDON, Conn. — Endicott women's track and field multi-event athletes Meagan McAndrews (Amesbury, Mass.) and Olivia Novello (Ipswich, Mass.) headlined the Gulls' efforts at the Silfen Elite Meet on Friday night, hosted by Connecticut College.

McAndrews and Novello are ranked third (2,151 points) and fourth (2,064 points) in the heptathlon following the first day of competition (100m hurdles, 200m dash, high jump, and shot put). 

McAndrews placed top-5 in every event on the night, highlighted by a 200m first place finish (27.38), while Novello's best performance came in the high jump (2nd, 4-9.75).

Saturday's portion of the heptathlon will feature the long jump, javelin, and 800m run.
