Women’s Track & Field Posts Multiple Top-5 Finishes At Wheaton Postseason Qualifier
NORTON, Mass. – The Endicott women's track and field team posted eight top-5 finishes at the Wheaton Postseason Qualifier on Saturday evening.
Tiana Brown (Nashua, N.H.) was the lone event winner for the Gulls, as the freshman bested a field of 16 competitors in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.39 seconds. She also ranked fourth in the 60m dash (7.96).
Abby Griffith (Franklin, Mass.) earned runner-up honors in the high jump, clearing 5 feet and 2.25 inches, while Alexa Suchy (Guilford, Conn.) accomplished the same feat in the 3,000m run, crossing the line in an NCAA Division III New England Championship provisional qualifying and personal record time of 10:36.57.
Endicott's 4x200m relay, consisting of Olivia Novello (Ipswich, Mass.), Kaylee Whitney (Milford, Mass.), Deanna Dukas (Woburn, Mass.), and Emily O'Connor (Manhattan Beach, Calif.), also ranked third overall in 1:52.81.
In the 60m hurdles, Novello produced a fourth place finish, season-best time and NCAA D3 New England Championship provisional qualifying time of 9.69 seconds (10.00 standard) before Willa McKay (Whitman, Mass.) and Addy Smith (North Kingstown, R.I.) rounded out the Gulls' top-5 performances in the 200m (4th, 28.88, PR) and 400m (5th, 1:05.18).
