Griffith, Novello Earn Runner-Up Finishes At USATF-NE Indoor Track & Field Championship
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Endicott student-athletes Abby Griffith (Franklin, Mass.) and Olivia Novello (Ipswich, Mass.) both competed at the USATF New England Indoor Track & Field Championship on Sunday evening, hosted by Harvard University.
In the 60m hurdles, Novello placed second overall out of 17 competitors with a time of 9.77 seconds.
The junior hurdler also ranked higher than three Conference of New England (CNE) entrants.
Meanwhile, Griffith finished second in the triple jump (34-9) and ninth in the long jump (15-6.50).
Griffith saved her best mark for last in the triple (five attempts), and ranked ninth in the long jump out of 24 competitors despite her first attempt counting as her best mark.
WHAT'S NEXT
Endicott will compete in the NCAA DIII New England Championships from February 27-28 in Boston at the TRACK at new balance.
