Gulls Shine At Jonathan Tymann Invitational; Brown & Shepard Claim Event Wins
WENHAM, Mass. — The Endicott women's track and field team competed at the Jonathan Tymann Invitational on Friday evening, hosted by Gordon College.
Senior Hannah Shepard (Keene, N.H.) and freshman Tiana Brown (Nashua, N.H.) produced first place finishes to headline the Gulls.
In the 1,500m run, Shepard crossed the finish line in an NCAA Division III New England Championship provisional qualifying time of 4:55.17.
She was one of three Gulls to post a top-5 finish in the field of 25 competitors.
Meanwhile, Brown claimed her event win in the 400m dash, clocking a time of 1:02.47 in heat two, which featured the three fastest times on the day (1:02.96, 1:03.04).
Brown also ranked second in the 100m dash behind back-to-back D3 New England provisional qualifying times in the prelims (12.57, first place) and finals (12.54, second place).
Overall, the Gulls compiled 19 top-5 finishes and three New England provisional qualifying times/marks on the evening.
