Endicott unanimous preseason favorite in coaches? poll
The three-time defending Endicott women’s volleyball team has been voted the unanimous favorites to win the 2009 The Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship, this according to the Coaches’ Preseason Poll released by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye on Tuesday. Voting for the preseason poll was conducted among the league’s head volleyball coaches.
Endicott College (24-15, 10-0 TCCC) received all 11 first-place votes in the 2009 TCCC preseason poll. Colby-Sawyer College was selected by the coaches to finish as the runner-up in the conference. Roger Williams University and the University of New England were picked to finish third and fourth, respectively.
Teams received 11 points for every first place vote received, 10 points for second place votes, nine points for third place votes, down to one point for a last place vote. First place votes are shown in parentheses.
