BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott College did not drop a single set on Saturday, sweeping a TCCC tri-match with wins over Eastern Nazarene and the University of New England on Homecoming Weekend in Beverly, Mass. The wins improve Endicott to 11-7 overall and 4-1 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference.

After getting off to a hot start against Eastern Nazarene, the Gulls showcased a talented group of freshman in a three-game sweep over the Crusaders. The Gulls posted set scores of 25-9, 25-8 and 25-13 in the victory. \#Brittany Phillips\# (Sudbury, Mass.) helped get the Gulls into a groove as the junior had six kills on seven swings with no errors in just one set. Freshmen \#Jackie Gardner\# (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) and \#Jessica Kennedy\# (Avon, Conn.) each tallied seven kills, while classmate \#Mollie Postma\# (Everett, Wash.) dished out 21 assists in the win. As a team, the Gulls swung at a .388 clip and had 17 aces against ENC.

The Blue and Green carried the momentum of the first match into a match-up with the University of New England. The Gulls came out flying and posted a 25-19 win, followed by a convincing 25-15 victory in the second set. Endicott closed out the third frame with a 25-19 win to seal the victory. \#Steph Wiese\# (Higganum, Conn.) had 13 kills, nine digs and anchored the serve receive with 26 opportunities and just two errors. \#Brittany Phillips\# posted eight kills and 12 digs while \#Elyse Barbour\# (Greenville, R.I.) had eight kills and two blocks. Freshman \#Ashley Norley\# (Sudbury, Mass.) tallied 14 digs in the win.

The middle match of the day featured the University of New England and Eastern Nazarene. The Nor’easters made quick work of the Crusaders, downing ENC, 3-0 (25-17, 25-9 and 25-19).

Endicott carries its three-match winning-streak into a Tuesday night showdown with New England’s top-ranked team, UMass-Boston. The Gulls and the Beacons will square-off at 7:00 p.m. in Beverly, Mass.
