Gulls run table to win Endicott Invitational

Beverly, Mass. - On day two of the Endicott Invitational, the Gulls women's volleyball squad defeated Eastern Connecticut State University 3-1 and then Plymouth State University 3-1 in the championship match to go 4-0 and win the tournament. For her efforts, senior outside hitter Brittney Phillips (Sudbury, Mass.) earned Tournament MVP.
Match One vs. Eastern Connecticut State University

The Blue and Green won 3-1 (25-21, 25-23, 21-25, 25-18) over the Warriors of Eastern Connecticut State University behind 16 kills from Falyn Torelli (Pelham, N.Y.) on 36 attacks with just two errors. Joining Torelli with double-digit kills was Phillips who added 10 kills and 10 digs, defensively.
Ashley Norley (Sudbury, Mass.) tallied 18 digs for the Gulls and junior Sarah Allshouse (Berthoud, Colo.) dished out 36 set assists in the win.
Endicott once against was strong at the net with several players getting involved in the blocking game. Leading the way, however, was Callie Dolan (Westford, Mass.) who along with a solo block, got three block assists.

Phillips took over in the championship match with a team-high 14 kills with only three errors. Her 13 digs were also a team-best as the Gulls went on to defeat Plymouth State 3-1 (17-25, 25-14, 25-23, 27-25).
Torelli had another 10 kills and Elyse Barbour (Greenville, R.I.) added eight kills for the Blue and Green. Allshouse was strong again with 39 more assists and Norley was a presence defensively with 11 digs.
