Women's Volleyball Falls To Springfield, 3-0

BEVERLY, Mass — The Endicott women's volleyball team lost to Springfield College, 3-0, by scores of 21-25, 20-25, and 23-25 on Tuesday night at MacDonald Gymnasium.

Ava Grace Dresback (Pawcatuck, Conn.) led the Gulls offensively with 14 kills to go with seven digs.

Hadley Helenbrook (Atlanta, Ga.) added 10 kills, five digs, and two service aces, while Ava Barnhart (West Chester, Pa.) chipped in with four kills.

Hannah Maguire (San Jose, Calif.) facilitated the attack all match with 29 assists to go along with four service aces, and five digs. On the backline, Abby Downs (Billerica, Mass.) finished with 13 digs.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE 

• The Gulls are now 3-15 in the all-time series against Springfield.

• Sixth match this season with 10 or more digs for Downs.

• In total, there were 25 ties and 9 lead changes in tonight's match.

• Helenbrook is now 90 kills away from 1,000 for her career.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (5-3) will face Brandeis and UMass Dartmouth in a tri-match on Saturday, September 20 at 10 AM and 12 PM. Springfield (7-2) travels to Hoboek, N.Y. on Friday, September 19 to take on Stevens at 7:30 PM.
