WALTHAM, Mass. — The Endicott women's volleyball team dropped a pair of non-conference matches to Brandeis (3-1) and UMass-Dartmouth (3-1) on Saturday afternoon at the Gosman Sports and Convocation Center.
BRANDEIS 3, ENDICOTT 1 (19-25, 13-25, 26-24, 20-25)
Hadley Helenbrook (Atlanta, Ga.) paced the Gulls offense with 14 kills to go with a team-high 13 digs.
Ava Grace Dresback (Pawcatuck, Conn.) added 13 putaways, while Hannah Maguire (San Jose, Calif.) registered 37 assists and tied with Helenbrook for a team-high three service aces.
On the back line, Abby Downs (Billerica, Mass.) recorded 12 digs.
UMASS DARTHMOUTH 3, ENDICOTT 1 (18-25, 26-24, 13-25, 18-25)
Helenbrook led the Gulls once again with 15 kills alongside 16 digs.
Dresback notched 14 kills and 11 digs, while Angelina Fitzharris (Webster, N.Y.) added nine kills from the middle.
Maguire facilitated the offense via a match-high 34 assists and also highlighted the defense with 18 digs. Downs was the fourth Gull with double-digit digs as she had 11.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORES
- Helenbrook led the offense for the Gulls today with 29 kills.
- Maguire now has 30 or more assists in eight matches this season.
- Gulls are now 10-17 versus Brandeis and 1-4 versus UMass Dartmouth all-time.
