Women's Volleyball Bests Curry, 3-0
BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott women's volleyball defeated Curry, 3-0, by scores of 25-21, 25-17, and 25-7 in Conference of New England (CNE) action on Saturday afternoon inside MacDonald Gymnasium.
The Gulls had 10 student-athletes record kills in the match, with Talia Camacho (Franklin Square, N.Y.) leading the way with 10. Julia Young (Asheville, N.C.) nearly matched Camacho with nine putaways, while Sophie Breitenbach (Newport, R.I.) and Angelina Fitzharris (Webster, N.Y.) added six and five, respectively.
Hannah Maguire (San Jose, Calif.) finished the match with 12 assists as Lauren Egan (Scituate, R.I.) and Susanna Mikkelsen (Olympia, Wash.) each chipped in nine assists.
Emma Gulaskey (Miami Shores, Fla.) led the defensive effort with 10 digs, and at the service line, Kelsey Sanborn (Londonderry, N.H.) recorded seven service aces.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott is 15-0 against Curry in the all-time series (all sweeps).
- The Gulls played 14 student-athletes in tonight's matchup (different lineup for each set).
- Sanborn set a new career high for service aces.
- Camacho and Young both set career highs for kills
