Women's Volleyball Falls to Babson in Hard-Fought Match, 3-1
BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's volleyball team fell to Babson, 3-1, by scores of 19-25, 27-25, 18-25, and 25-27 in non-conference action on Friday night at MacDonald Gymnasium.
Hadley Helenbrook (Atlanta, Ga) led the way for the Gulls offensively with 13 kills, as she added eight digs and three assists in the setback.
Angelina Fitzharris (Webster, N.Y.) contributed 11 kills, two digs, and two block assists.
Kelsey Sanborn (Londonderry, N.H.) added 10 putaways, while Ava Grace Dresback (Pawcatuck, Conn.) finished with eight kills, 11 digs, and two block assists. Also at the net Stephanie Moreau (Methuen, Mass.), led the Blue and Green with seven block assists.
Abby Downs (Billerica, Mass.) guided the defensive effort for the Gulls with a match-high 17 digs, and Hannah Maguire (San Jose, Calif.) facilitated the attack with 40 assists.
Maguire's stat line also included two block assists and 10 digs.
Tonight's match featured 29 ties (2-16-8-3) and 12 lead changes (1-7-3-1).
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott is 8-10 against Babson in the all-time series.
- Maguire has recorded 40 or more assists in six different matches this year.
- Moreau recorded a career-high in block assists during tonight's match.
- Second match this season with 10 or more kills for Fitzharris.
