Women's Volleyball Tops Western New England, 3-0
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — The Endicott women's volleyball team defeated Western New England, 3-0, by scores of 25-11, 25-14, and 25-19 in Conference of New England (CNE) action on Friday night at the Anthony S. Caprio Alumni Healthful Living Center.
The Gulls had 10 different student-athletes record kills in the road win, as Hadley Helenbrook (Atlanta, Ga.) led the way with 11 putaways.
Ava Grace Dresback (Pawcatuck, Conn.) and Hannah Maguire (San Jose, Calif.) both added eight and six terminations apiece, respectfully.
Defensively, Abby Downs (Billerica, Mass.) finished the contest with 18 digs and tied a team-high two service aces with Helenbrook, Maguire, and Reagan Mitchell (Overland Park, Kan.).
Maguire finished with 27 assists, eight digs, one block solo and one block assist.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott is now 27-4 all-time versus Western New England (15th consecutive victory)
- Tenth match this season with 15 or digs for Downs.
- Fourth match this season the Gulls hit .300 or better.
- With her two block assists in tonight's matchup, Stephanie Moreau (Methuen, Mass.) moves into a tie for ninth all-time in block assists with 189.
