Keim Earns CCC Women’s Cross Country Rookie Of The Week Accolades
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Endicott freshman Abigail Keim (Williston, Vt.) has earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Women’s Cross Country Rookie of the Week accolades for her performance last weekend at the James Early Invitational.
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Endicott freshman Abigail Keim (Williston, Vt.) has earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week accolades for her performance last weekend at the James Early Invitational.
Keim clocked a time of 19:53.56 on the 5-kilometer course, which was good enough for 33rd overall in the field of 409 runners and first among all freshmen in the race.
Counting this week's award, Keim has now been named the CCC Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week three times in her career (09/08/15, 09/15/15, 10/12/15). She also earned Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Rookie of the Week honors on September 17, 2015.
As a team, the Gulls placed sixth overall out of 39 teams for their highest finish at the James Early Invitational in program history.
Endicott travels to Boston, Mass. for a rare weekday race as they will compete at the Saints Invitational at Franklin Park. Following that, Endicott will have just over two weeks to prepare for the CCC Championships to be held on Saturday, October 31.
