Women’s Cross Country Carves Out Top-10 Finish At Keene State Invitational
KEENE, N.H. – The Endicott women's cross country team ranked ninth overall out of 26 teams at the Keene State Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
Williams won the meet with a team score of 19 points, as the Ephs made up four of the top-5 finishers.
Tufts (60), Colby (122), Wellesley (133), Westfield State (207), UNE (250), Amherst (270), Springfield (273), Endicott (273), and host Keene State (324) followed to fill out the top-10.
Hannah Shepard (Keene, N.H.) led the Gulls in the 6-kilometer race with a personal best time of 22:50.30 (32nd overall).
Alexa Suchy (Guilford, Conn.) narrowly missed out on a top-50 finish as she crossed the line in 52nd with a time of 23:19.8.
Raegan Gagne (North Attleboro, Mass.), Corinne Robert (Mattapoisett, Mass.), and Rebecca Zuniga (New Braunfels, Texas) filled out the scoring lineup for the Gulls with 97th (24:40.20), 107th (24:56.20), and 113th (25:04.90) place finishes.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Endicott registered its sixth-best top-5 average in program history (24:10).
- Each runner for the Gulls notched season-best times, including Teagan Shaughnessy (Watertown, Mass.) and Lulu Steele (Bedford, Mass.), who ranked 133rd (25:27.70) and 135th (25:29.40), respectively.
- Suchy, Gagne, and Zuniga ran personal best times.
- The Blue and Green finished ahead of Conference of England (CNE) opponents Hartford (15th, 426) and Western New England (WNE) (20th, 543).
