Gulls Earn Runner-Up Honors At CNE Championship
WENHAM, Mass. – The Endicott women's cross country team placed second overall at the Conference of New England (CNE) Championship on Saturday afternoon, hosted by Gordon College.
Suffolk captured its fifth straight conference title, scoring 21 points by finishing 1-2-3-4 and 11th.
Endicott followed in second (74) behind the No. 1 top-5 average in program history for a 6-kilometer race (23:37, 1:16 spread).
UNE (91), Gordon (114), Hartford (154), Western New England (156), Roger Williams (165), Johnson & Wales (173), and Wentworth (225) ranked in respective order on the team standings.
Hannah Shepard (Keene, N.H.) and Alexa Suchy (Guilford, Conn.) claimed CNE All-Conference honors for placing sixth (22:52.00) and seventh (22:57.19, PR) overall.
Corinne Robert (Mattapoisett, Mass.) and Raegan Gagne (North Attleboro, Mass.) followed in 19th (24:02.11, PR) and 20th (24:06.11, PR), respectively.
Teagan Shaughnessy (Watertown, Mass.) rounded out the top-5 in 22nd place (24:08.41, PR).

"Today's races showed how much this team has stuck together this season. The strength they have shown to believe in each other and invest in the growth of this team has been with them every step of the way," said Endicott women's cross country head coach Spencer Lange. "They put themselves out there with the trust and confidence from their preparation, and it came together in such a great way. While we still have more to go this season, today really was a great day to be a Gull. Strong competition, beautiful XC weather, and the spirit of this group were inspiring to see."

- The Gulls tied their program-best finish at a conference championship meet.
- Endicott's personal record times totaled over four minutes.
- Rebecca Zuniga (New Braunfels, Texas) finished 24th overall in a personal best time of 24:10.97.
- Five of Endicott's top six runners PR-ed, while Shepard was two seconds shy of breaking her personal best.
- Shepard earned her fourth career All-Conference honor in cross country, becoming the first student-athlete in program history to achieve the honor.
- Suchy produced her first career All-Conference performance in cross country (15 spots better than last season).
- The top-15 runners in the meet earn CNE All-Conference accolades (first 5 1st team, next 5 second team, final 5 third team).
- Allie DeVoe (Ridgefield, Conn.) ranked 44th overall in 25:05.08 (PR).
- Lulu Steele (Bedford, Mass.) and Sophia Dill (Uxbridge, Mass.) notched season-best times of 24:56.72 (41st) and 31:12.98 (87th).

Endicott will compete at the NCAA Division III East Regionals on Saturday, November 15, in Contoocook, N.H.
