NEW LONDON, Conn. — The No. 11 Endicott men's ice hockey team defeated Connecticut College, 2-1, in non-conference action on Tuesday night at Dayton Arena.
John Goldowski (Buffalo, N.Y.) got the scoring started in the first period on a breakaway chance to put the Gulls up. Andrew Kurapov (Corvallis, Ore.) doubled the Endicott lead with two seconds to play off a cross-ice pass from Ryan Willett (Bayville, N.Y.).
With the Gulls leading by a goal entering the third period, the defense clamped down the Camels to keep them off the scoreboard and won 12 face-offs.
In net, Atticus Kelly (St. Paul, Minn.) turned away 27 shots in the victory as his record improved to 7-2-0.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott leads the all-time series, 3-0-1.
- Connecticut College was receiving votes in the latest USCHO poll.
- The Camels were handed their second home loss of the season (2-2-1).
- Conner Chalmers (Windham, N.H.) had the primary assist on Goldowki's goal, his first career point.
