BOSTON, Mass. — The Endicott men's soccer team picked up its first Conference of New England (CNE) victory of the season this afternoon at Wentworth, topping the Leopards by a 2-1 score at Sweeney Field.
After a scoreless first half, the Blue and Green broke through in the 52nd minute. Aidan Sheehan (Arlington, Mass.) tapped in a beautiful Ethan Nunes (Chattanooga, Tenn.) pass from the right corner to put the Gulls in front.
Then, in the 68th minute, Tim Lynch (Groton, Conn.) put the Gulls up 2-0 after he cleaned up a back post pass from Peyton Luther (Ledyard, Conn.) and drillled it past the outstretched Leopards keeper.
The hosts got on the board in the 73rd minute, but that was the extent of their scoring on the afternoon, as the Gulls' defense beared down and closed out their 2-1 road win.
Brady O'Toole (Concord, Mass.) improved to 3-1 on the year after his four save outing.
