SEASON PREVIEW: Women's Basketball Tips Off Season Against Wheaton This Friday

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's basketball team begins its 2025-26 season this Friday at Wheaton in a 5:30 PM tipoff. Here's an inside look at the Gulls' upcoming season.
FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
- The Gulls feature three freshmen on this year's roster. Forward Skylar Barton (Seymour, Conn.) and guards Aleah Bracey (New Bedford, Mass.) and Lily Cooper (Southington, Conn.) will make their collegiate debuts this season.
- This year's senior class consists of captains Tenley Wallin (Danbury, Conn.) and Alyssa Garabedian (Cheshire, Mass.). The two veteran guards have combined for a total of 130 games and 2176 minutes played in their careers. Emma Shinney (Wakefield, Mass.) accompanies the two seniors as the third captain on the roster.
- Shinney enters her junior season after a historic start to her collegiate career. Through her first two seasons, the guard has appeared on two All-Conference teams (2023-24 Third Team; 2024-25 First Team) and two All-Region teams (2024-25 D3Hoops.com Second Team; 2024-25 NEWBA Fourth Team). Last season, she led the Gulls in points (395; 14.1 per game) and assists (139; 5.0 per game).
- Tiana-Jo Carter joins head coach Jamie Insel's staff in 2025-26. Carter has spent time coaching with SUNY Albany (2024-25), Princeton (2022-24), and Bentley (2020-22). In her playing days at Albany, she was a standout front court talent. Over the course of her esteemed career, she set the program blocks record (154), graduated top-10 in program history with 642 career rebounds, and was also the 2016 America East Sixth Player of the Year.
- Last season, the Gulls ranked second in the Conference of New England (CNE) in scoring (67.4 points per game) and allowed the second lowest points (56.8 points per game). They also featured the best assist-to-turnover ratio in the league at 1.10. The Blue and Green knocked off Western New England in the conference championship, 64-58, to secure their first conference title since 2019-20.
